1 Choose an old sock – either child size or adult but preferably plain.
2 Sew on button eyes
3 Add fabric ears and nose – felt if you have it. You could also use card or paper.
4 Add more details as appropriate eg for a cat you might add whiskers or for a snake you might add a tongue
5 Make a puppet to represent one of the characters in a story. If you make more than one, you and your child could have one puppet each ad they could have a conversation.
